"LEXILOO HANDSOME CURLY TOP BOY"
In late April we were desperately looking for a safe and loving place to leave our little bichon Alexi for five weeks while we drove to Nova Scotia on family matters and return to Vancouver Island.By a stroke of luck we noted a business card for Rayki's Place on our vet's bulletin board and gave Lise Lelievre a call. Meeting her, her daughter, Selwynn and the pooches and kitty cat we were immediately impressed with the whole organization. Following a familiarization visit for our little guy he was accepted for the boarding period. Throughout the drive across country we were provided with many emails and pictures of the adventures and outings, including a trek to the top of Mt. Tzouhalem, that Lise/Selwynn, Rayki, Alexi and other boarders were enjoying.  Lise was particularly diligent when Alexi developed an upset stomach and she, without hesitation and as per our agreement, had Alexi visit our vet for necessary treatment and visited him every day until he was released. She kept us up-todate by phone and emails. Fortunately it was only gastritis so all was well by the time we returned. We highly recommend Rayki's Place and encourage all to visit the location...you will be impressed - Lois and Gary Eldridge

"NUTTY NUTS HAPPY FACE GIRL"
I discovered Rayki's Place through an ad I saw on the Country Grocer noticeboard.  I picked up the phone number quite a while before I actually called.  Lise suggested first my dog & I come & have a short visit at her home, and then my dog went for a day to see how she got along with everyone & the other dogs.  Nutmeg enjoyed Rayki's Place from her first introduction, and I've been fortunate that she's been able to stay there while I've been away on vacation several times.  It's great for me as I know she's well cared for & having a wonderful time while I'm away -- I think Nutmeg feels she's on vacation too! - Deb

"LINUS YOUR HIGHNESS WITH BFF CRYSTAL"
As a lifelong cat person, the decision to get a dog was not made lightly.  One of the main factors was we did not want to leave a dog at home all day by himself and luckily I can take him to work with me. But there are days when this is not possible, or there are sometimes trips or weekends where a dog is not welcome and other arrangements have to be made. Like a human baby, there are Auntie’s and Gramma’s willing to take him, but we needed something more structured.  We absolutely did not want a kennel situation, with crates, cement floors and chain link fenced runs.  One day I was at the dog park and saw a flyer for Rayki’s place with 3 little dogs sitting in a wing chair, I could see my little dog at a place like that. I called Lise and met with her and Rayki one afternoon, and knew right away that this was the place for us. The home environment where the dogs are part of the family is the right fitLike a human baby, at first there was a little separation anxiety, but as the visits increased, so did Linus’s comfort.  Now when I drop him off, he runs for the front door, bounds up the stairs to play with his friends and I am long forgotten, until the end of the day when I am greeted with kisses from an exhausted, contented puppy.  For any dog owner who needs daycare for their dog, I would not hesitate to recommend Rayki’s Place, and I already have. Thank you Lise, Selwynn, Rayki, and Crystal for making Linus part of your family too.  - Sincerely, Robyn
